ASDN Logistics Analysis Software
While surfing the web for logistics related software, I came across the site hosted by the International Centre for Innovation and Industrial Logistics (ICIIL).
ICIIL has some information about an open source logistics analysis software that is being developed University of Vaasa, Finland and ABB Corporate Research Center.
ASDN – “Agile Supply Demand Networks” is software for analyzing and developing logistics networks. This rapid modelling tool should help decision-making in network architecture design and performance management.
The project home page is located at http://asdn.sourceforge.net and the source codes (Java) are distributed via SourceForge: ASDN

ASDN is software developed for rapid modelling of supply chains. ASDN tool has developed originally as a joint project with ABB Operations Development Group and Logistics Systems Research Group at University of Vaasa. One of the aims of ASDN has been to build systems to support further defined supply chain architectures. The ASDN Logistics Analysis software aims: (1) To support modelling the characteristics of the domain of global investment good delivery. (2) To present a rapid modelling tools for screening and presenting the network-level controls. (3) To integrate product design with logistics decision making, (4) To suggest optimisation approaches for faster response and improved financial performance. The software has been released as open source and further developments have been completed in various projects within many industries.
