The email contained a lot of words (&#8220;benchmarking,&#8221; &#8220;outside in,&#8221; &#8220;performance metrics,&#8221; &#8220;best practice,&#8221; &#8220;process and organization&#8221;) each of which set off a loud buzzing alarm-like sound in my head.
